The Essay Exhibits: Beneath A Sky of Gunmetal Gray
Writer, Emily Arnason Casey’s Essay Exhibition is a meditation on juxtaposition visually represented by
eight Vermont artists in an exhibit that will travel to a new Vermont library each month beginning in
October of 2019. The exhibit, curated by the writer, brings new work from the artists that interprets
sections of her essay “Beneath A Sky of Gunmetal Gray” from her book Made Holy: Essays, published in
September by the University of Georgia Press, Crux Series in Literary Nonfiction. She presents a reading
and discussion of her work this month here at the Ilsley Library.
