Backyard Composting Workshop

Want to start composting in your backyard but don’t know where to start?  Join the Addison County Solid Waste Management District for a free Backyard Composting workshop to learn how to turn your household food waste into compost!  Composting food scraps will allow you to save money on your trash bill, reduce your impact on the environment, build healthy soil for your yard and garden, and comply with Vermont’s Universal Recycling Law, which bans food scraps from the landfill in July 2020.  Workshop participants will receive a significant discount on a SoilSaver compost bin.  Space is limited, so registration is required.  To register or for questions, call ACSWMD at 802-388-2333 or email elizabeth@acswmd.org.
