This free class for seniors is sponsored by the Champlain Valley Agency on Aging and is taught by Ruth Barenbaum. The class is ideally suited to those who have already completed the beginners’ class, but is open to all seniors regardless of experience. The program, developed by Dr. Paul Lam and promoted by the Arthritis Foundation, contains all the essential principles of Tai Chi that support the improvement of flexibility. Improved flexibility reduces stiffness and helps keep joints mobile. Stiffness causes pain; increased flexibility relieves pain.
