Ivan Turgenev’s Fathers and Children

Tuesday evenings, starting Sept. 9
Experience a classic Russian Novel! Join Middlebury College Emeritus Professor Michael Katz in reading and discussing Ivan Turgenev’s Fathers and Children (a.k.a., Fathers and Sons), first published in 1862. Unlike most Russian novels of the period, Fathers and Children is short (only 160 pages) and easy to read. It is a very enjoyable introduction to the Golden Age of Russian Literature. The group will meet five times, on Tuesday evenings (September 9 – October 7) from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. in the Vermont Room. Please register your interest and get a copy of the book at the adult circulation desk.
