Library buildings to close to the public on Wednesday, March 18th

The Ilsley Public Library and Sarah Partridge Library physical buildings will be closed to the public starting on Wednesday, March 18th, until further notice. This decision was made in the interest of public health and to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Even though the library buildings will be closed to the public, many library services will remain uninterrupted:

  • Library staff are still available to help you with reference questions via phone (802-388-4095) and email (info@ilsleypubliclibrary.org).
  • The library still provides free wi-fi 24/7, which can be accessed from parts of the upper parking lot and the library garden. Please keep wi-fi sessions to a reasonable time period to provide opportunities for other users. If using wi-fi in the garden, please maintain social distance from others.
  •  The following digital resources are available to library patrons:
    • Use your library card to checkout digital e-books and audiobooks through Overdrive.
    • Use your library card to stream films through Kanopy.
    • Use your library card to access library databases.

If you need help accessing any of the above digital resources, please give us a call (802-388-4095) or email (info@ilsleypubliclibrary.org). As we adapt to the situation, the library staff will be working to make even more services and resources available remotely.  In an effort to further support the community during this time, we are implementing the following changes to our circulation policies, effective Wednesday, March 18th:

  • All items may be renewed over the phone (802-388-4095). There will be no limit on renewals during the library closure.
  • Patrons owing greater than $5.00 in fines will be able to checkout digital materials.
  • Eligible residents who wish to obtain or renew a library card may do so over the phone.
  • As always, the book drop in the garden is open 24/7 for returns.
