Ilsley Releases Year-End Impact Report

At the end of every year, the library submits a comprehensive statistical report to the Vermont Department of Libraries and a detailed narrative report to the Town of Middlebury. Both of these reports capture, in different ways, a year in the life of the library, and give a preview of our priorities for the upcoming year.

The statistical and narrative reports are then condensed and combined into a two page Annual Impact Report. This Annual Impact Report, which consists of infographics and a brief letter from the library director, tells the library’s story in a clear and concise way.

Library director Dana Hart notes that, “There are many ways to measure a library’s impact, but the most powerful is to communicate the difference the library makes in community members’ lives. My hope is that the Annual Impact Report conveys the many ways the library enriches local lives, and thereby fulfills our mission.”
