Summer Reading 2020
Ilsley Public Library
Summer Programming 2020
Hello to all our fabulous library people! Welcome to Ilsley Summer Programming 2020 where we have a little something for everyone.
Children, birth-6th grade
HOW IT WORKS: Our summer reading program will run for 6 weeks, from July 6th – August 15th. To participate, parents will pick up a summer reading folder for their child at our outdoor pick-up service (available starting June 16th). The folder will have a pencil, bookmark, list of Tricia’s recommended book titles, a sheet of stickers and 2 challenge calendars.
The first calendar will run July 5th – July 25th. As in previous years, kids will put a sticker on each day that they read.
PRIZES: If they have at least 15 stickers by the end of the three weeks then parents can turn in the calendar at outdoor pickup for a sweet treat to bring home. The second calendar will cover July 26th – August 15th. Kids with at least 15 stickers at the end will get a paperback book from the Vermont Book Shop. Details for redemption will be posted on our Facebook page (Ilsley Public Library) and website as the date approaches.
PROGRAMMING: Missing our craft table? Looking for more at-home activities? From July 7th – August 15th We will have weekly make-and-take craft/activity bags that can be picked up during outdoor pickup service. Bag activities will be targeted for PreK, K-3rd, 4th – 8th, and family. You can ask for one bag for each child each week during outdoor pickup service.
Keep a look-out for storywalks around town. We will be posting a new picture book at the Marbleworks waterfall on 7/6, 7/20, and 8/3.
