Digital Magazine Subscription Added to Collection

Ilsley Public Library is pleased to announce a new subscription to digital magazines. This subscription makes close to 4,000 titles available to library patrons. The magazines are all simultaneous use, which means they can be checked out by any number of patrons at the same time. There are no circulation caps, so patrons may check out as many magazines as they like.
The library will continue to keep popular magazines available in physical form. The digital subscription, however, allows library patrons to access a vastly larger number of titles, as well as a much larger inventory of back issues (3 years, as opposed to 1 year, which is what the library currently retains for physical magazines). It also allows patrons to access digital magazines from home or while traveling.
To access the digital magazines, library patrons will need to sign in to their account in the library catalog (or Overdrive/Libby). Once checked out, patrons can read the magazines in the browser or in Libby. Magazines don’t count towards patron checkouts limits in Overdrive (patrons can have 3 e-books/audiobooks checked out and an unlimited number of magazines).
Some popular titles included in this subscription include:

The New Yorker

National Geographic

US Weekly

Newsweek

The Week

The Economist

Popular Mechanics

Popular Science

Prevention

House & Garden

This Old House

Cook’s Illustrated

Bon Appetit

Vogue
