About our Electric bikes

We offer 3 commuter-style bikes with an electric assist to help you get around with less effort and to scale hills that previously seemed impossible.

Our e-bikes come with one pannier bag, charger, and lock.

Helmets are required and provided upon request.

E-bikes are available to borrow from May through October.

How to Borrow an E-Bike

• To reserve a bike, use our online booking system  (the blue link below).
• You can borrow e-bikes for 3 or 4 days, either:
  • Tuesday thru Thursday (once a month)
  • Friday thru Monday (once a month)
• The online reservation calendar shows the first (start) day of your reservation: Tuesday for a Tuesday through Thursday reservation (3 days total), or Friday for a Friday through Monday reservation (4 days total).
• Individuals must have a library card to borrow an e-bike. Middlebury residents and students in ACSD are eligible for free cards. *Non-residents that require financial assistance in purchasing a library card should ask a librarian about the Friends Assistance Program.
• Fill out the waiver (see blue button below) and bring it to Frog Hollow Bikes. You can also get a waiver form from the library or at Frog Hollow Bikes. The waiver must be signed and submitted before you may checkout your bike.
• Pickup your e-bike at Frog Hollow Bikes (74 Main Street). You must be prepared to either ride the bike home or have a truck or trailer to transport it; these bikes are too large to fit in a car or vehicle bike rack.
• Return your e-bike to Frog Hollow Bikes on Thursday or Monday, as appropriate to your loan period, fully charged.
