The Vermont Department of Libraries sponsors 3 annual book awards for youth and teens.
The Red Clover Book Award
The Red Clover Book Award is geared to students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. The Red Clover book award consists of 10 high-quality picture books. Children in kindergarten through 4th grade who read the books are eligible to vote on their favorite in the Spring.
The Vermont Golden Dome Book Award
The Vermont Golden Dome Book Award is geared toward students in 4th - 8th grade. The list contains 30 exemplary mid-grade novels. Students in 4th - 8th grade who read at least 5 titles are eligible to vote for their favorite in the Spring.
The Green Mountain Book Award
The Green Mountain Book Award is geared toward high school students in 9th - 12th grade. The GMBA list features 15 recommended books for teens. High school students who read at least 3 books from the list are eligible to vote for their favorite.
