The Town of Middlebury's text alert system is intended to keep residents informed about important community and emergency situations, public safety incidents, severe weather alerts, road closures and traffic disruptions, utility or service interruptions and time-sensitive town updates and notices.
VT-ALERT is used by state and local responders to notify the public of emergencies. Those include, but are not limited to, evacuation information, chemical spills, shelter-in-place alerts, severe weather advisories, boil water advisories, and roadway interruptions. Residents can tailor alerts to specific locations, types, and devices on which they receive notifications.
