Strategic Plan Feedback Sessions

Ilsley has adopted a new strategic plan: Ilsley Library: Discover, Read, Create.

After surveying the community, consulting with experts and visiting forward-thinking libraries throughout the region over the last year, Library Trustees established three guiding principles:

• Ilsley is welcoming to all
• Ilsley is Middlebury’s hub for reading, technology and community
• Ilsley enriches the lives of children and youth

Along with each of these principles are several framework goals, which your are invited to read by visiting the “Strategic Plan” page.

But the planning is far from over.  To expand upon the principles and framework goals, members of the public are invited to attend one of two feedback sessions in the coming weeks.  The first will be held Wednesday, January 6th from 8-9:30am at the Ilsley Library and second on Thursday, January 7th from 6-7:30pm at the Sarah Partridge Library.

Library Trustees and Director Kevin Unrath will be on hand to present the research and thought that went into the plan, but the focus will be on getting feedback from you on what you’d like to see from your library in the next several years.  If you are not able to make either session, You are invited to submit written comments directly to kevin.unrath@ilsleypubliclibrary.org.  Your feedback will help keep Ilsley’s services relevant, focused and strong!
