Bring your Kindle, Nook, or other ebook reader and we’ll help you load it with books from the library’s downloadable collection.

Chess and Bridge Clinic

Drop by the Vermont Room for casual play and gentle coaching in chess and bridge with Monty Montgomery.

Chess players of all abilities are welcome, as are bridge players of less than expert strength.

Come have fun with stories and crafts!

An exhibit of Peter Miller’s photography, sponsored by Frog Hollow of Burlington, will be on exhibit at the library from August 15 through September 30. The exhibit presents images and information as well as a time line telling the story of the writing of Peter’s new book, A Lifetime of Vermont People. Known for his iconic black and white photographs of native Vermonters and country scenes the exhibit will feature a career’s worth of images as well as explore the writing of the book and its evolution. Ilsley Library  will also be hosting a talk by Peter Miller to take place in the library  on September 13 at 5 p.m. The talk will be followed by a reception where Peter will be selling and signing his book.
