About Us
Addison County adventures are self-guided tours, scavenger hunts and expeditions intended to engage Addison County residents and visitors with their natural environment and Vermont cultural landscape. These place-based activities are intended to be both fun and intellectually stimulating and are open to people of all ages!
Types of Adventures

These adventures get participants outside to explore natural areas in Addison County! Each adventure leads you through a trail with a series of directions and clues containing local ecological knowledge. Participants are supported to develop a keen eye for features of the environment.
These adventures focus on the human landscape of Addison County. Each tour guides participants through town, highlighting historic buildings, locations, and small businesses along the way. This is a great chance to expand upon your knowledge of the county’s history!
These adventures lead participants through areas in search of treasure! Treasure boxes are distributed along routes where you can bring something of your own to swap with what you take from the box so that future adventurers can continue to find interesting objects.
These adventures guide participants to existing locations in Addison County where they can connect with other residents and visitors. These locations may have unique spots for recreation and highlight features that have been developed by community organizations.
