Mr. Pip (2012, 1hr 55min). Through a brutal civil war on the island of Bougainville, the loss of family, and the destruction of her village, Matilda’s pursuit of peace and a meaningful life is inspiring. Please be advised that this film contains two violent scenes depicting war crimes.
We will be screening films in the library Jessica Swift Meeting Room, followed by a hybrid discussion (in the meeting room and over Zoom) beginning at 8:00 pm. All films in this series are available on Kanopy. If you are not able to attend the screening, you may still view the films whenever you wish on Kanopy and then join us for the discussion.
