Clandestine Radio Operations and the ENIGMA in World War II
Tuesday, October 20, 7 p.m.
Retired professor Tom Perera will describe the desperate attempts by the French Resistance to build radios to keep informed about the progress of the war and by spies to communicate critically important intelligence information back to the Allies while being ruthlessly hunted by German direction-finding teams.  He will also describe and demonstrate the role of the ENIGMA cipher machines during these operations. Sponsored by Ilsley Library and the Addison County Amateur Radio Association.
