Library Talk

Community Room 75 Main St., Middlebury

Zen and the Art of Volunteering with Animals
Thursday, November 19 at 7 p.m.

A presentation with Don Glauber,  Ph.D.
Homeward Bound and Elephant Nature Park volunteer and ambassador

This program will explore many aspects of our relationships with animals and the myriad benefits these relationships can offer us: body, mind and spirit, as well as the crucial assistance we can give to animals in shelters and sanctuaries. Through taking a mindful relation to being with animals, we can open our hearts, cultivate compassion, aid in healing trauma and learn deep lessons about being alive and vulnerable. Images and stories of memorable dogs, cats and elephants will be shared. Please come to this event if you are curious to learn some of the ways you can benefit from spending time as a volunteer helping animals and how they can benefit by becoming your friends.
