The 5th Assessment Report by Intergovernmental Panel on Climate represents the latest global consensus on the state of Earth’s climate. But in the few years since IPCC 5 was published, a host of new scientific studies suggest that the threat of global warming may be greater than anticipated in the IPCC report. This talk will review the latest evidence for global climate change, explain why the observed warming results largely from human activities, and explore future climate scenarios.
This talk is sponsored by the Addison County Retired Teachers Association, which will hold its annual meeting beginning at 10 a.m. Photo by Brett Simison.
