Board of Trustees

The library is governed by a five-member Board of Trustees who are elected at Town Meeting. The duties of the trustees are enumerated in the Vermont Statutes Annotated and include setting library policy, overseeing long-range planning, establishing a budget, and promoting library use.

The trustees meet on the second Monday of each month at 5:00 pm in the small conference room in the town offices (77 Main Street). The library trustees are a local nonadvisory body, and all meetings adhere to Vermont's Open Meeting Law. Members of the public may request remote access to a meeting by emailing dana.hart@ilsleypubliclibrary.org at least two business days in advance. An audio recording of each meeting is posted on the library website for at least thirty days after the approval of the minutes.
