Film viewing of “Tipping Point: The Age of the Oil Sands”

This documentary takes viewers inside the David and Goliath struggle playing out within one of the most compelling environmental issues of our time—the extraction of oil from Canada’s tar sands. Goes behind the headlines to reveal how a groundbreaking new research project triggered a tipping point for the Alberta oil sands. Hosted by Vermont Interfaith Power & Light (VT IPL). The screening will be followed by discussion of the pipeline that will pass through the Northeast Kingdom and of town meeting resolutions calling for bans on tar sands oil.
