This documentary tells the story of how the Canadian and U.S. healthcare systems, which originally had much in common, evolved very differently: Canada would go on to establish universal healthcare whereas the United States did not. This free screening will be followed by a discussion led by Deb Richter, M.D., focusing on the film's relevance for Vermont. Dr. Richter, a primary care practitioner and addiction medicine specialist from Montpelier, VT is President of Vermont Health Care for All and is a former President of Physicians for a National Health Program.
