Asian elephants are engaged in a struggle for their very survival. Don and Karen Glauber describe their personal journey of living with and working for 37 Asian elephants at a unique Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Through photos and videos from six trips to Thailand, they share their experiences with these beautiful animals and address historical, political and cultural influences which shed light on their present crisis. Love and respect for these gentle giants and the people who have dedicated their lives to rescuing and healing them provides the inspiration for the presentation. The Glaubers share what simple things we can do to help save the elephants for future generations.
We'll gather for an experiential walk at 11:30 a.m. and enjoy light refreshments afterwards.
