Clandestine Radio Operations and the ENIGMA in World War II

Retired professor Tom Perera will describe the desperate attempts by the French Resistance to build radios to keep informed about the progress of the war and by spies to communicate critically important intelligence information back to the Allies while being ruthlessly hunted by German direction-finding teams.  He will also describe and demonstrate the role of the ENIGMA cipher machines during these operations. The screening of the second film in this series will take place in the front lobby of the Library, with entrance through the side or front doors for the program.  A 30 minute discussion facilitated by Middlebury College Professor Gloria Estela Gonzalez Zenteno will follow the screening.

This is an open meeting.

Three-to-five year old children are invited to come have fun with stories and crafts!  Parents and siblings are welcome too.
